Antonietta Collins

Antonietta Toni Gonzalez-Collins is an American-Mexican sportscaster. She is currently employed by ESPN as a reporter for SportsCenter as well as occasionally hosting SportsNation. Her first job at ESPN in the year 2016. The daughter of TV reporter Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta was bilingual since when she was nine years old. This ability which helped her obtain her first job as an Univision Production Assistant in Miami. She collaborated with producers for national shows such as Nuestra Belleza Latina Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud Primer Impacto. The next position she was offered was a Sports Reporter at The CBS St. Petersburg Affiliate. Then she moved to Rio Grande Valley in 2009 to work as a reporter on the Spanish stations KNVO TV 48 Univision, as well as Fox2 News. In 2009, she relocated to Rio Grande Valley in Texas, where she became a reporter for KNVO 48 Univision and Fox2 News. Her duties as an anchor for weather or sports were often asked for. Deportes 23 in Dallas, Univision's station affiliated with Dallas. There she had more responsibility. She reported on The Major League Baseball ALDS ALCS World Series, the Dallas Cowboys and NBA Postseason as well as the finals of FC Dallas FC Dallas Stars. She produced Univision 23 Accion Deportiva Extra and anchored it. She worked as anchor for the sports segment of Despierta America Deportes morning show. Also, she was anchor of the sports segment in Primer Impacto, a magazine show on the UniMas Network and Contacto Deportivo. Antonietta Collin's parents were originally from Veracruz Mexico. The family relocated from Veracruz Mexico to Mexico City where she was born on the 22nd of November, 1985. Also, she has an older sibling. The family moved to Miami after moving out of Mexico in the US. Her parents divorced soon after in 1995. Her mother got married to one of the naval architects known as Fabio Fajardo who died of kidney cancer in 2006. While on a trip with the family in Ohio, the younger Collins took a place alongside her elder sister. Antonietta still a senior at high school, yet she had a clear idea of the path she was looking for. While deciding if Mount Union would be a good fit to her needs, Antonietta visited the school. The campus was a dream for her. They also offered her the degree she wanted. Her studies were completed and she was accepted into the University with a degree of media studies. Her relationship lasted for a while with her professor Mark Bergmann who was the manager for WRMU 91.1 FM, a station of which she was an affiliate. The professor encouraged her to be confident and was deeply moved by his passion for journalism.
